Curation: the queer mother can sit and play
I see curation as set design. A dialog between objects, space and viewer.
A moving platform that has no steps to overcome and can be entered from all sides. Like a constantly moving revolving stage in the audience of a theater space.
For me the interesting work begins when intersectional fragments are not directly seen but they can be felt. Through the approach of softness and humor, I want to ask political questions in dialoguing with pop culture.

Collective HUFE
With the beginning 2023 Val Holfeld founded together with Ju Aichinger, Lisa Braid, Carli Fridolin Biller, Isabell Edi, Mathea Hoffmann and Philomena Jobe the FLINTA* Collective HUFE in the 2. district of Vienna.
The space acts as a platform for visual artists, mediators, performers, authors, associations and children. It aims to design the space in an inclusive and barrier-free way and to consciously work into the structures of off-space culture with queerfeminist approaches. Val Holfeld carries the role of curator and facilitator.
